Sanjeev is the founder of SMN Capital Group, a private real estate equity firm focusing on the acquisition of income producing multi-family apartment communities.
Our goal at SMN Capital Group is to help individuals invest passively in apartment communities. We choose apartment communities with value add opportunities in landlord friendly and economically growing markets. We source assets where we can improve cash flow, improve efficiency of property, address deferred maintenance and upgrade units to match industry standards. All of this is done under our comprehensive plan to maximize investor returns.
Our core focus is on southeastern states that have above average jobs & population growth.
Investment Criteria includes:
- Vintage & Newer properties
- Tenant profile in a C+ to B submarket
- 50 to 200 units w/ clear value add component
- Valued between $5-$25M in NC, SC, GA
- 500K+ MSA, Target IRR 15% +
Sanjeev’s background in implementing business systems, financial reporting, real estate accounting and income tax consulting aids him in managing day-to-day operations of SMN. This includes overseeing acquisitions, borrowing, investor relations, capital improvements and asset management.
Sanjeev is an accredited and sophisticated investor who has been investing in real estate since 2012 with $20M in assets under management as a general partner spanning across 300 units.
